Belgium adds 21 virtual sites related to virtual currency to black list

The Belgian Financial Services Markets Authority (FSMA) updated its country’s blacklist and added 21 new websites as suspected of fraud . As a result of this addition, the number of websites registered in the blacklist increased to 99.

FSMA held two cryptocurrency related presentations last Friday. In addition to calling for attention to cryptocurrency related fraud, the agency announced as follows.

“The list of suspected fraudulent cryptocurrency trading platforms has also been updated and 21 new suspicious sites have been added, this list including 99 websites at the moment.”

Also, FSMA says, “This list is based solely on observations made by FMSA based on reports from consumers, so not all websites that are active in this field are included.” And added explanation.

The latest list including 21 newly added items can be viewed from FSMA website.

FSMA finally emphasized that there is no presence to oversee the online platform at the moment.
