Cardano (ADA) updates its roadmap and has a lot of new stuff in its luggag

Cardano recently released a new video on YouTube. In the video, Sebastien Guillemot from Emurgo explains the changes in the roadmap of the project.

Cardanos (ADA) Mainnet started its service last year. Since then, investors have been hoping for improvements that will help Cardano become one of the five largest cryptocurrencies. According to data available at the time of going to press, Cardano (ADA) ranked ninth on the list of the largest cryptocurrencies in terms of market capitalization. Cardano (ADA) was still ahead of the Stablecoin Tether before Monero (XMR).

There have already been some upgrades for Cardano in September. One of the most exciting innovations of the future is the launch of the in-house wallet “Yoroi”. The software wallet offers impressive speed and is a plugin for the Google Chrome browser. This allows users to keep the coins right in their browser.

Another news concerns the expansion of Cardano's marketing department. That's how Cardano managed to win over Florian Bohnert as Chief Marketing Officer. The whole Cardano team has been very busy publishing blog entries and other content. Nevertheless, it is hoped that Bohnert Cardano in the public even better known. In addition, Cardano has hired new community managers in China, Korea and Japan. At the same time, the project is looking for new translators to support the teams.

The video also highlights Cardano's plans for the future. Most importantly, this includes a network update to version 1.3.1. The developments have already been submitted and are currently under review. Along with this update, the new Cardano testnet named “IELE” will also be available. The new testnet will allow developers to test their code without the risk of capital loss.

In addition, wallet maker Trezor confirmed via Twitter that they will support Cardano in the future. For months, the supporters of the cryptocurrency had been waiting for this announcement.

These updates are all meaningful and positive for the project. Still, some of the owners of the Cardano ADA tokens did not seem as enthusiastic as the developers. That may be because there are already many developments for Cardano, but at the same time other advances are postponed. For example, the project has postponed to 2019 the announced “Shelley” update phase, which was to be introduced in 2018. This phase will bring the implementation of the Ouroboros BFT stake delegation, as well as multi-signature transactions, “human friendly” addresses and quantum-proof signatures.

The Cardano community seems worried that upcoming Ethereum upgrades, such as Casper and Sharding, could “overrun” any progress Cardano made.

On Reddit, a follower wrote, “I'm a bit worried about Shelley. It seems that they have postponed it again (staking and the delegation testnets) until the year 2019 (no further dates). “
