I found out that the upgrade plan for ‘ethereum 1x’ is an editorial plan by the youth developers.
According to Greg Colvin, an engineer at Ethicalium, in a meeting called DevCon 4 held in October this year, it seems that the event developers are discussing the plan of “ethereum 1x”.
Colvin uploaded some information on the discussion on Github.
Details of the discussion on “ethereum 1x” are not disclosed, but upgrading of “ethereum 1x” seems to be done at “Parity” of the Ethernet client.
Also, according to the upgraded text, the development team seems to be exploring now about plans to shift from Ethicalium · Virtual Machine (EVM) to EWASM and the concept of storage fee (storage fee) for Smart Contract.
Glossary Ethicalium · Virtual Machine (EVM) : A thing like a decentralized computer. Applications running in the EVM can be called distributed applications.
EWASM : A distributed computer like the evolution version of EVM developed by the team called the World Wide Web Consortium. Unlike EVM, it is compatible with various development languages, so it can be expected to increase scalability. It is already used in EOS (Ios) and Tron (TRON).

I wonder what sort of task of the company can be solved by this upgrade. I’m looking forward to.
